Simple Plane Drawing

  • Airplane line drawing To finish the line drawing of the plane add the passenger windows along the the body of the plane. Draw the windows slightly larger and rounder towards the front and slightly smaller and narrower (more oval in shape) towards the back. Once done you can trace over your drawing with darker pencil lines or a black pen/marker.
  • Begin by drawing a “C” shaped line. This will become the nose of the airplane. Plane drawing - step 2. Draw a curved line from the top of the plane’s nose to outline the top of the cockpit. Plane drawing - step 3. From the top of the plane, extend a long straight line to sketch the top of the aircraft.
  • Line drawing, also called contour drawing, primarily uses the line to indicate a change of plane. What is a change of plane? It's the edge where two sides of an object meet. Sometimes this is very easy to see. Take a look at this box, for example. Each side of the box is a plane and you can easily see them meet.
